How to Take Protein?

After weight training, trainers take proteins for increasing their muscle. I wonder how much proteins I have to take and when I take it. There are many suggestions that the timing and amount to take proteins. Also they say that it is the golden time to take it within 30min after weight training. But I thought that is not a right idea, because I felt to take something we cannot to get their nutritional as soon. I want to try several timing to take it.
